As the COVID-19 pandemic pushed everyone to stay in their respective homes, without romanticizing it–it gave people the time to reflect on life.
Young Kapuso star Migo Adecer is one of the many individuals who had realizations during home quarantines.
Adecer admitted that the pandemic drawn him nearer to God. It also let him realize the importance of having time for himself.
“I find myself closer to God. The pandemic gave me to take some time for myself. Dahil walang work, I was able to de-stress,” he said.
Also, he gained some time to rest and a break from all his showbiz commitments. After several months, he is once again ready to bounce back.
“For an artist in showbiz, seven months is quite a long time to be away from working before the camera,” he said.
“So the lockdown allowed me to take time to rest and breathe and not to have any big work responsibility. So when I was called to resume our taping, I was so ready and willing to work again,” he added.
Migo is one of the stars in the series Anak ni Waray vs. Anak ni Biday, which is now back on GMA Telebabad after a seven-month hiatus. He is Cocoy, the love interest of the sisters Ginalyn (Barbie Forteza) and Caitlyn (Kate Valdez).
Today, he thought he is more mature now unlike his baptism of fire in showbiz as the Ultimate Male Survivor in Star Struck in 2015. He was only 15 years old.
“I was so young and inexperienced. I’ve learned so much from the past five years and I’m definitely a different person now than when I started,” Migo admits.
The actor assures that he has learned from his past mistakes and expressed his gratefulness to GMA–for giving him a second chance.
“Definitely, I’m better with my craft now. It was hard, there were lots of difficult times, it’s been a humbling experience. But I can really say that the good things outweigh the bad ones naman. I’m very grateful to GMA for giving me the chance to be in showbiz,” the actor said.
To recall, in 2019, Migo bumped a couple riding a motorcycle. He escaped rather than facing his mistake. Eventually, he got caught by the law enforcers, but he refused to surrender his license and left. He even tried to evade the arrest.
Migo got arrested for reckless imprudence charges, resulting in physical injuries, damage to public property, and disobedience to a person in authority.
