Singer-actor Markki Stroem called out online personality Frankie Pangilinan over retweeting respondents’ names in the alleged Dacera rape-slay case.
Firstly, Frankie wrote to apologize for her impassioned tweets and vowed to withhold opinions on the Dacera case until further notice with a repost of the said list.

Stroem called out Pangilinan to take down the former’s post since one of his friends is part of the list. Frankie apologized and obliged to take down her tweet.
This is not enough, i have friends on this list who did not deserve this public shaming. I rarely tweet. Take this down and apologize.

really sorry, i was under the impression i’d taken down my quote tweet already. deleted now for sure. it wasn’t my post to begin with and i just spread what i thought to be verified information since the conversation was being amplified repeatedly on my timeline.

After that, Markie acknowledged Frankie’s advocacy that fights rape culture and victim-blaming while shedding light on the homophobia that transpired during the Dacera case, which Frankie agreed on.
Tbh, thats all that was needed, removing the list from your platform of influence. I appreciate your valiant fight against rape culture, yet there is another war that is far from over: Homophobia. A boy had to come out on national TV before he was ready.

That, along with comments such as this, “Kahit Bakla yan, lalaki parin yan, tinitigasan”, really shows the level of acceptance of our LGBT brothers and sisters. Anyway, enough of that, Happy Birthday to your mother, and have a wonderful night 😁

Recently, Frankie received rape threats on social media after tweeting about victim-blaming, which she then reposted on her social media account. She then echoed her advocacy against rape, #HijaAko.
it is never the clothes, never the drinks — never the victim, period. it is always, ALWAYS, the rapist’s fault. how many more times do we have to hammer this home for it to stick in your thick skulls, please??!??!

there’s something awful and stupid about how i only get rape threats when i talk about rape not being okay https://t.co/QGvtRKjaAq

The case remains unsolved as several elements still in play; including angles of a natural cause of death through the ruptured aortic aneurysm; police autopsy alleging healed lacerations on the victim’s thighs and contusions on her knees, the use of drugs to spike the Dacera’s drink; the family requesting for an independent autopsy on the body contradicting police findings; and the Makati City Prosecutor’s office ordering the release of the respondents due to insufficient evidence submitted by the police. Suffice to say that the Dacera case is far from over.
