In the press conference for his upcoming series, Parang Kayo Pero Hindi, actor Marco Gumabao reacted to people calling him one of the top leading men in showbiz.
Marco answered that it’s all about respecting the women he works with during filming.
Initially, Marco said that building chemistry with his co-stars poses a bit of a challenge with his projects. However, Marco highlighted that as the only boy in their family, he has a lot of experience interacting and getting along with women.
“Para sa akin, syempre mahirap. Every project na gagawin mo, of course, Syempre ibang partner, so you have to build that chemistry once again, all over again.”
“Para sa akin, syempre mahirap. Every project na gagawin mo, of course, Syempre ibang partner, so you have to build that chemistry once again, all over again. Siguro I really jive well with women kasi I’m surrounded with (by) women sa bahay. Ako po yung only boy,” said Marco.
As a result, Marco has high respect for women, which helps him quickly get close with his female co-stars.
“So, siguro para sa akin, it’s not (really) hard to be close with women kasi, para sa akin kasi ang taas ng respeto ko for them,” said Marco.
Finally, he added that his leading man status is all about respecting women.
Siguro, I (just) workaround with it. Syempre ang pinaka-bottom line is rerespetuhin mo sila (women), said Marco.
Many know Marco for his roles in She’s Dating The Gangster, Aurora, and Hindi Tayo Pwede. He now stars in the first-ever Viva original series, Parang Kayo Pero Hindi. Alongside him are artists such as the beauty queen turned actress Kylie Verzosa and actor Xian Lim.
Parang Kayo Pero Hindi, directed by Director RC Delos Reyes and written by the best-selling novel author Noreen Capili, premieres via Vivamax App this February 12, 2021.
