Singer-actress and a known Duterte critic, Agot Isidro, compared the Trump supporters to the die-hard Duterte supporters (DDS).
After the chaotic riot that erupted at the US Capitol, which was instigated by disgruntled Trump supporters, Agot could not help but compare in her tweet the two cult-like followers of the two Presidents.
“Trump supporters are like DDS no? Can’t put my finger on it without being mean.”
On Thursday, Trump supporters forced their way to the Capitol where the US Congress is conducting the final electoral count which eventually certified the victory of President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.
The chaos which was viewed around the world became a cause for concerns by different world leaders who can’t believe that it is happening in the US.
Meanwhile, several Netizens also agreed to Isidro’s comparison saying DDS is very much the same as Trump fanatics in terms of their course of actions.

Meanwhile, Both Trump and Duterte have been compared [always] in terms of their governing styles.
The two Presidents are known to be populists who commanded large-kind-of-support from fanatical, almost cultist-like followers.
Diuterte and Trump have one thing in common for their being antagonistic to the press. Often they are called fake news peddlers.
That is why several Netizens can’t help but connect their similarities to what’s currently happening to the US.
