After the word-war between It’s Showtime! lead host Vice Ganda and Presidential Spokesperson of President Rodrigo Duterte Herminio ‘Harry’ Lopez Roque Jr. over the issue on COVID-19 vaccine that the government is insisting on buying, the former wittingly used a segment of his noontime show to throw back at the latter.
Vice tweeted on January 12 and wrote: “Sa sabong panlaba nga choosy tayo sa bakuna pa kaya. Ano to basta may naisaksak lang?! Vaklang twoooaahhh!!!”.
However, the following day, Spox Roque also made a swipe on Kapamilya comedian-host, “Alam niyo mali naman na ikukumpara iyong bakuna sa sabon na panlaba. Eh kung hindi naman natin pagtiiiwalaan ang mga experts na tatlong batches ng experts pa ang magsasabing pwede natin gamitin ‘yan at magiging basehan para mag-issue ng EUA.
“Eh sino ang ating pagkakatiwalaan? Siguro po hindi mga komedyante.”
Today, Vice in one of the noontime show’s segment, he wittingly cracked something funny, which subtly hits back on the Presidential Spokesperson.
“Pero ako di ako clown. I’m a comedian. At may kilala akong clown,” he said and laughed.
“I’m a comedian. You are the clown.”

The issue of the COVID-19 vaccine has become a laughing stock and a venue for a battle of wits.
But a clown and a comedian are both entertainers, however, a clown is someone who makes fun of others to amuse and entertain an audience, whereas a comedian is someone who does comedy to make an audience laugh.
Clowns are mostly seen in circus or some amusement park, but comedians are generally seen on television shows or programs, where they make extreme comedy by joking and jesting to make the audiences laugh.
