Former rated X stars Rosanna Roces and Maui Taylor are now responding to victim-blaming harassment on women. The senior female stars shared their opinion[s] on victims who sympathize with them but suffer the ‘blame’ for doing so.
The exchange happened during the digital interview with the Paglaki Ko Gusto Kong Maging P*RNSTAR cast.
“Nasa tao yan na tumitingin sa atin o sa isang babae kung paano niya itatrato ang babae,The way siguro paano niya itrato nanay niya o kapatid niya, ganun dapat, matter of upbringing talaga.”
Nowadays, the issue of sexual harassment and victim-blaming has been a heated discussion online. It is sad to think that others are even to blame for giving support to women as victims of harassment.
Osang also added that even X Rated movies would not affect a man to do such a horrendous act; only those who are not in their right mind will do such.
According to Maui Taylor, most rape cases occur due to the victim’s or the suspect’s irresponsible drinking or drunkenness; but pointed that blame must not be accorded to any victim.
Wala sa frame of mind kaya nagagawa yon. So, wala sa movie, o pananamit yan.”
