May it be the role of Emma in Ika-Anim na Utos or Laura in Magkaagaw, Sunshine Dizon always had a strong stance on how to handle mistresses.
Dizon, has this strong remark about mistresses during a recent virtual press conference for her Magkaagaw series.
She shared life’s lessons from her series.
Since the plotline is centered on marriage and mistresses, the actress said that she learned the importance of fighting for one’s family as long as the person can do that and most of all the wife should never let wives be beaten by mistresses.
“That family is very important, na hangga’t pwede mo pang ilaban para mabuo yung pamilya mo, kailangan mong ilaban iyon. At ‘wag magpapatalo sa mga kabit. Ayun!”
For her, she pointed out that mistresses should never win because a wife’s loss is a mistress’ happiness.
Dion Ignacio who plays the role of Zander Rodriguez laughed at Dizon’s statement and she turned to him by saying, “Ba’t ka natatawa, Dion Bakit ka tumatawa? Totoo naman, di ba? Hindi ka pwedeng magpatalo sa kanila kasi matutuwa sila.”
Dizon went through a similar situation in 2016. She faced her husband’s alleged mistress for the first time since she had identified her through social media.
Dizon met her husband Timothy Tan and the woman she named Clarissa Soriano Sison at the Quezon City Regional Trial Court in 2016.
“Bilang tao, masakit, Nanay ako eh. I’m getting emotional because of the pain that they caused my children.
“[Hindi na ito tungkol sa akin] kasi kaya ko naman. Pero iyong sakit na dinaanan ng mga anak ko, iyan ang walang kapatawaran.”
