The comeback of ‘ASAP Natin ‘To’ through TV5 made a buzz online, but did it also topped the ratings?
Recently, ABS-CBN announced another milestone as it teamed up with TV5 to air ‘ASAP Natin ‘To’ on the Kapatid network for an expanded viewership.
The competition for ratings is expected to heat-up again as the long-running concert variety show airs on TV5. But it seems that the expectations were not met.
According to NUTAM, GMA Network’s ‘All Out Sunday’ (AOS) remains supreme in the Sunday noontime slot despite ‘ASAP Natin ‘To‘s’ first airing on TV5 last January 24. AOS hit 5.8%, while ‘ASAP’ garnered 1.4% and 1.9% for A2Z and TV5, respectively.
AOS is also up for more surprises this coming week as it further aims to keep up with its competitors.
ASAP’s official hashtag #ASAPasONE topped the trending list on Twitter with over 100,000 posts as the show debuted on TV5.
The premiere was opened with a meaningful performance of A-list Kapamilya singers Martin Nievera, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Erik Santos, Ogie Alcasid, Regine Velasquez, and Gary Valenciano with their rendition of Alamid’s “Sama-sama”.
Other Kapamilya artists including Vice Ganda, Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, Karla Estrada, Jolina Magdangal, Melai Cantiveros, and casts of ABS-CBN teleseryes “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin,’ and “Bagong Umaga”, also joined the iconic opening performance.
The episode also featured performances of Jed Madela, Jason Dy, Nyoy Volante, Janine Berdin, Elha Nympha, Jona, KZ, Joshua Garcia, Enchong Dee, Loisa Andalio, and Kim Chiu.
They also formally welcomed the newest Kapamilya, award-winning actress Janine Gutierrez who recently shifted from GMA Network.
Aside from TV5, ‘ASAP Natin ‘To‘ can be watched on the Kapamilya Channel (cable), A2Z Channel 11 (free TV), Kapamilya Online Live (free live streaming), iWantTFC (on-demand streaming), and TFC (overseas subscription).
