Angel Locsin maintained her heroine duties as she defended fellow Kapamilya star Vice Ganda from Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque’s attacks
On Instagram, Angel commended the ‘gay comedian’, referring to Vice Ganda for having concern for the public and fighting for the right thing.
“Ayos yung baklang komedyante no? Pinaglalaban ang tama at may malasakit sa tao,” she wrote.
Vice Ganda and Roque’s exchange of tirades stem from the country’s choice of COVID-19 vaccine.
When Roque ordered the public to not be ‘picky’ with the COVID-19 vaccine, the comedian expressed on Twitter our right to demand the best vaccine. Vice even compared it to how picky we are with our choice of laundry products.
Sa sabong panlaba nga choosy tayo e sa bakuna pa kaya. Ano to basta may maisaksak lang?! Vaklang twoooaahhh!!!

But this did not sit well with Harry Roque as he reacted to the comments of the comedian during a press briefing.
Roque said that it is wrong to compare the vaccine to our laundry products considering its availability of supplies. He also urged the public to believe in experts, not comedians.
Vice Ganda then reacted during an It’s Showtime episode saying, “Ako, di ako clown. I’m a comedian. At may kilala akong clown. I’m a comedian, you are the clown.”
Before withdrawing from his 2019 senatorial race, Roque guested on Vice’s Sunday late-night show, Gandang Gabi Vice. Despite rude questions, Roque maintained to keep up with the comedian’s joke that gave him wide publicity.
After several years, is their ‘friendship’ finally over because of this issue?
