Harry Roque says that he does not hate Vice Ganda despite their exchange of rants.
In the latest vlog of the actress-vlogger Aiko Melendez, Harry Roque addressed different issues where he is involved.
In the latter part of the vlog, the Presidential spokesperson was placed in the hot seat as he answered questions using a lie detector.
From then, Aiko asked Roque whether he hates Vice Ganda whom he recently had word war with. He replied, “No” and he is saying the truth based on the lie detector.
Recently, a spat sparked between Roque and Vice Ganda after the latter criticized Roque’s statement, advising the public not to be ‘picky’ with the COVID-19 vaccine.
The spox hit back by saying that the public should listen to vaccine experts, not to a comedian. With this, the It’s Showtime host retorted affirming that he is a comedian, but he is not a clown like Roque.
“Ako, di ako clown. I’m a comedian. At may kilala akong clown. I’m a comedian, you are the clown,” Vice said on air.
Despite not mentioning names, it was clear that they were referring to one another.
Moreover, when Aiko asked about the ‘clown’ statement of Vice against him he just said that he loves clowns.
“I love Charlie Chaplin, I love Marcel Marceau (French actor and famous mime artist), he’s my favorite noong estudyante ako abroad. I saw Marcel Marceau I was really odd struck, kasi there are people, wanting you to smile, pero wanting you to smile amidst the tragedies of life, so, it’s really a form of poetry,” he said.
“So to me (tinawag na clown), wow, thank you very much that I’m compared to clowns because as I said, Marcel Marceau, Charlie Chaplin are people whom I really respect. Baka hindi niya kilala kung sino si Marcel Marceau, i-Google na lang niya,” he added.
Roque is one of the most controversial public officials at present, his personal attacks on the critics of the government are considered very unprofessional.
He also seemed ungrateful about how Vice Ganda helped him with the publicity he needed when he ran for Senator. To recall, he was a guest on the comedian’s Sunday night show Gandang Gabi Vice. The episode trended online which helped him be noticed by the public.
