Actress Dimples Romana is set to star in an episode of the ABS-CBN drama anthology ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya’.
On Instagram, the actress excitingly announced her ‘first taping’ for 2021 for an MMK episode.
Dimples and other cast members including Ketchup Eusebio, Gillian Vicencio, Izzy Canillo, Viveika Ravanes, and Michael Roy Jornales, are currently in a ‘locked-in’ taping, as part of the new normal protocols.

This signifies the comeback of the actress to her home network after top-billing in the TV5 sitcom.
ABS-CBN artists shift to other networks
With ABS-CBN’s non-renewal of the franchise, the media network was forced to shut down its TV broadcast and lay-off its employees to save from financial loss.
Several Kapamilya artists then appeared on TV5 shows after Brightlight Productions, owned by former Negros Occidental representative Albee Benitez, secured a block time deal with TV5.
One of these artists is Dimples Romana who appeared in a TV5 sitcom, ‘Oh My Dad’ together with Ian Veneracion, Sue Ramirez, Ariel Urieta, and Gloria Diaz.
Hassle-free comeback
After working with TV5, Dimples returns to ABS-CBN freely without any hassle.
She had the same fate with Ria Atayde who recently returned to ABS-CBN after the non-renewal of a TV5 show, ‘Chika, BESH!’ which she hosted with Pauleen Luna and Pokwang.
Her mother, Sylvia Sanchez, revealed that it was Star Magic who gave Ria the project with the Kapatid network amidst the ABS-CBN shutdown.
Surely, both Ria and Dimples respectfully asked for permission from ABS-CBN before having a project with another network.
Ogie Diaz’s list of banned artists
To recall, talent manager Ogie Diaz claimed that he has a list of artists who are banned from ABS-CBN.
They are artists who went against ABS-CBN and those who transferred without permission.
Though no names were revealed, we can be sure that Dimples and Ria are not part of the said list.
