Audiences are glued to the ensuing war as Marissa (Jodi Sta.Maria) and Ellice (Iza Calzado) continue to clash. As they enlist the aid of powerful forces to their respective sides, a deadlock is created by the almost equally powerful alliances they are able to create.
Caesar’s (Simon Ibarra) devious plans seem to be working as he teams up with Ellice’s mom, Belen (Rita Avila), in fulfilling his intentions to make Marissa suffer. We know now that Caesar’s actions aren’t’ solely to help Ellice parry Marissa’s attacks but to satisfy his own vengeance against the latter. Belen, on the other hand, carries out her advances largely to benefit from Ellice’s material wealth, although audiences have yet to figure out her entire narrative. We are fully aware of her suspicious past, and we’re somehow given a hint at the danger and chaos she can bring to Ellice’s and Gabriel’s lives.
Adelina (Carla Martinez), on the other hand, has successfully aided Marissa in acquiring shares from Ellice’s company. Marissa now owns 40% of the company Ellice inherited from her father, Jorge (Lito Pimentel), whose dark secrets are exposed when Marissa’s mother, Lucing (Maricel Soriano), went back to La Cascara, to investigate. And now that Marissa has her mother’s support, her battle against Ellice might go in her favor.
The partnership between Caesar and Belen, however, is poised to shelter Ellice from Marissa’s future attacks, and as she takes wicked advances to topple Marissa, Marissa may soon lose her ground and succumb to Ellice’s strengthening forces. Marissa’s plan of using Jake (Grae Fernandez) as bait to lure Gabriel (Sam Milby) back to her life, doesn’t seem to give her a favorable result either, as her fake son, only gets closer to Hope (Kira Ballinger).
The documents Lucing found in La Cascara is a fatal sword that might cripple Ellice’s team’s both defense and offense, but as Caesar’s men fulfill their task of taking them from Marissa’s mom, it remains to be seen whether such crucial pieces of evidence, will finally serve their intended purpose—to shed light on the betrayal caused by Jorge. The revelation about Belen’s and Nestor’s (Allan Paule) illicit affair, is also set to further stir things up.
In the past few weeks, audiences have seen equally futile offensives from both sides, and while both Marissa and Ellice take turns to launch a hit against each other, the scenes they were able to create are much less entertaining than the previous ones. The current heat the show is picking up, however, holds interesting promise which suggests that the show will soon again explode in tension and emotional intensity. The most recent revelations about Belen’s and Jorge’s pasts are set to bring further complications, which means the war between Marissa and Elissa will remain active for an indefinite period of time.
Catch the exciting tension and drama between Marissa and Ellice, weeknights on ‘Ang Sa Iyo Ay Sa Akin’, airing over Kapamilya Channel’s and A2Z’s Primetime Bida Block
