Kapuso star Alden Richards revealed that his 2019 movie with Kathryn Bernardo, Hello, Love, Goodbye” is the film that he is most proud of as he celebrated his 10th anniversary in the showbiz industry.
According to an article by ABS-CBN, Alden made the revelation during his Preview interview where he shared his 10 most memorable moments in his career.
‘Hello, Love, Goodbye‘ is an OFW film that follows the story of Joy (Kathryn Bernardo) who is a domestic helper in Hong Kong, and Ethan (Alden Richards) who is a bartender. The film is directed by Cathy-Garcia-Molina and produced by Star Cinema.
When asked about the toughest but best role that he portrayed, Alden said that it was his role in ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’ as Ethan. He mentioned that even though it was his first time working with Star Cinema, he still considers the decision as one of the best that he made.
“That was my first with Star Cinema. Isa iyon sa best decisions that I made last year,” he said.
He added saying that it was his first time to work with Direk Cathy as well and noted that the director was very talented and hands-on. He praised the director saying that he was able to learn a lot from her.
“It was my first time to work with Direk Cathy [Garcia-Molina], and she’s a very talented, very hands-on director. I’m so happy that I was able to work with her. Sobrang dami kong natutunan,” he added.
Alden also mentioned that the said film was the one that “resonated with the fans the most” .
‘Hello, Love, Goodbye‘ was seen as a breakthrough movie as it involved two of the hottest stars of the rival networks ABS-CBN and GMA network.
The film which was released on July 31, 2019, also became the highest-grossing Filipino film in the Philippines as it drew P880 million worth of global ticket sales beating ‘The Hows of Us’ which also starred Bernardo.
