After his exit from studying as a Christian Pastor back in December 2019, actor-model Kiko Ipapo top bills the new Boys Love series, Happenstance.
When asked if his BL series created conflict with his Christian Pastor goals, Kiko said that he exited from his biblical studies last December. He also confirmed that there was no conflict. Then he added that he would rather refrain from giving his statement since the topic is religion.
“Sa akin po, last December po kasi, lumabas ako. Para sa kin naman po wala naman pong conflict. Di ko lang po alam sa mga religion, syempre, marami pong conflict pero mahirap pong magbigay ng statement tungkol po dun,” said Kiko.
Kiko is a 21-year old actor-model who took up biblical studies. He also clarified that he aims to be a pastor instead of being a priest when he accepted the opportunity. Additionally, Kiko has a 23-year old fiancée whom he met back in 2018. Both of them have children from previous relationships. But later on, they found each other and plan to tie the knot soon. He remained with his biblical studies for six months but had to exit from the course back in December of 2019 since his fiancée got pregnant.
Happenstance is a BL series about Wade and Jose Manuel, who meet and fall in love despite living in two different periods thanks to a supermoon. Jose Manuel lives in 1974 amidst the Marcos regime, while Wade lives in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. The BL Series stars Kiko as Wade and Jovani Manansala as Jose Manuel. Supporting cast include Rosanna Roces, Bembol Roco, Allan Paule, Shu Calleja, Saviour Ramos, Angeli Bayani, and Erlinda Villalobos. It aired its first episode on December 25, 2020, via GagaOOLala.
