“Should I say this? Yes. Next year, it’s either I do it or forget about it. If I’m not at my fittest next year, then I should be done,” said Aga.
Then, he added that he does not want to short-change his viewers, especially in films wherein he has to be fit to play the part. He also acknowledged his responsibility as an actor to make his character presentable.
“Again, I cannot short-change my viewers, my audience. If I wanna do nice films, believable character, I have to look like an actor which is like to be fit. I think that’s the responsibility of an actor. You should look physically presentable and believable,” said Aga.
He also gave himself a condition that if he is not fit by next year, he will refrain from making any showbiz appearances.
“Parang, it’s about time. If I’m gonna be not at my fittest next year, siguro huwag muna akong magpapakita,” said Aga.
Finally, he acknowledged the importance of acceptance and facing reality when working in the showbiz industry.
“It’s always acceptance. Acceptance is very important. Reality is important. We should always really determine what is real and what is not. Like, in terms of work. Many times in my younger years, I felt that,” said Aga.
