Viva Entertainment Group’s talent management arm Viva Artists Agency has sued multimedia artist Nadine Lustre.
In successive tweets by ABS-CBN entertainment reporter MJ Felipe, VAA is said to have filed a lawsuit against Nadine at the QC RTC for allegedly violating provisions of her talent contract.
“BREAKING NEWS: Viva Artists Agency filed a lawsuit against Nadine Lustre before QCRTC earlier today. According to a statement sent by Viva, the lawsuit was filed because early this year, Nadine violated her valid and existing ‘agency and management contract,'” Felipe tweeted.

According to Viva, Nadine violated her contract by independently contacting advertisers and promoters while she is still under a management contract with them.
“Lustre contracted independently with advertisers, promoters, and other third parties, disregarding her exclusive contract with Viva. The lawsuit filed seeks to stop Nadine from continuously violating her ‘agency and management contract’ with VAA.”

Viva’s legal counsel Atty. Chino Roxas said the complaint against Lustre is aimed at forcing the actress to honor and respect her contract with Viva and stop making independent deals with third parties.
“Atty Chino Roxas, VAA counsel: ‘Ms. Lustre should honor & respect the sanctity of contracts & that third parties are put on notice that any direct dealings w/ Ms. Lustre for her services as a performing artist or endorser shall be in violation of Ms. Lustre’s contract w/ VAA”

It can be recalled that Nadine announced she parted ways with the Viva Artists Agency.
In January 2020., Nadine’s lawyer Atty. Lorna Kapunan in a press statement said that Nadine has left Viva and will be self-managing her career.
“It’s about time that a David strikes out a Goliath that has taken advantage of young artists in the industry for the longest time,” said Kapunan.
Nadine has since released albums under Jame Reid’s Careless Music Manila and has done endorsement deals outside of Viva.
