On his YouTube channel, Ian De Leon aired an emotional message for his mother Nora Aunor.
Recently, PEP revealed that Nora was hurt when Ian ditched a family dinner organized by his mother for his birthday.
Many netizens criticized Ian after reading the news that’s why it triggered the actor to speak up and reveal ‘the bitter truth’.
First of all, Ian reiterated that his love for his mother won’t ever change but he is tired of being quiet for a long time so he decided to burst out the truth about their family.
“Mahal na mahal kita, ‘di magbabago ‘yon. Pero kasi ang sakit na eh, ‘di ko na kayang manahimik pa,” he said emotionally.
“Let’s not play games anymore,” he added.
Ian was born to celebrity parents, Nora Aunor and Christopher de Leon. Despite this, he chose a private life for his own family. He wants their family occasions to be exclusive.
When his mother informed him about her plan of celebrating his birthday with their family, he was truly happy because it had been a long time since they were together.
However, he said that every family has a problem and he recognizes that he belongs to a showbiz family, that’s why every little mistake becomes a trending topic.
“The sad part is, may konting lihis lang sa expectation ng tao, masama na kami, masama na ang ate ko, masama na ang pamilya ko, mga kapatid ko,” he said.
He then went on narrating the real story behind him backing-out from their scheduled family dinner.
Accordingly, the night before, Nora asked him if she can invite someone to the said event. Ian then told his mother that he might not feel comfortable being with that person.
Ian said that he is open to forgiving anyone but he requested his mother to prioritize them this time.
“Bigyan mo naman ng chance and family mo, ilang taon na kayo ma. Bigyan mo kam ng pagkakataon na alagaan ka, mahalin ka, lambingin ka, araw-araw,” he said.
“Pakiusap lang sa mga tao sa paligid mo, alisin mo na ‘yon, pamilya mo naman,” he added.
Ian then shared his wish for his next birthday.
“Ang hiling ko lang sa birthday ko ay maging Nora Cabaltera Villamayor ka, hindi ‘yung Nora Aunor. Gusto ko maranasan ng mga apo mo ‘yung pagmamahal na puwede mong i-share. Gusto ko makasama mo sila habang may lakas pa tayo,” he shared.
Ian celebrated his 45th birthday last December 11.
