Lead actor for the Metro Manila Film Festival entry ‘Suarez: The Healing Priest’ John Arcilla reflected on the recent killing of a mother and her child in Tarlac.
He wrote on his Twitter account that he is concerned about what’s going on with humans becoming brutal. He also shared that he wasn’t able to play the video because it was very hurtful to see. The video that he’s referring to is the footage of where Jonel Nuezca put a bullet into the heads of Sonya Gregorio and her son.
Masyadong MASAKIT. Ano na ang nangyayari sa ATIN?

Hee also posted about the movies that he was part of, ‘Heneral Luna‘ and ‘Suarez: The Healing Priest’ in relation to the incident that shocked not just the Philippines, but also the whole world.
He mirrored the famous lines that he had said in the movies because of how inhumane the killing was.
Arcilla who was recognized for his role as the dashing and brave general, General Antonio Luna, and now as Father Fernando Suarez in the MMFF entry ‘Suarez: The Healing Priest’ echoed the valuable lessons from his movie.
In another tweet, Arcilla condemned the action of the policeman. He was utterly disgusted by how proud the cop was in his mugshot.

Police Senior Master Sargeant Jonel Nuezca shot at point-blank Sonya Gregorio and her son, Frank Anthony because of an altercation because of a PVC cannon or boga which the Gregorio family used. They were instantly killed but Nuezca shot them again as if making sure that they’re both dead.
As a result, Filipinos and the whole world cry foul over the death of two innocent civilians.
