Netizens called out world boxing champ turned politician Manny Pacquiao for his conflicting stand on issues.
Social media activist Francis Baraan IV pointed out how Manny Pacquiao goes against the LGBTQIA+ community yet supports the death penalty, extrajudicial killings, and the Duterte admin.
Pacquiao makes confusing & conflicting statements.
He's Christian, but he supports death penalty, enables a dictator, condones EJKs, & passes judgment vs LGBTQ people.
SORRY, MANNY.
WE NEED SOMEONE WHO PRACTICES THE CHRISTIAN VALUES HE PREACHES—NOT YOU.https://t.co/ivVKC90e4d pic.twitter.com/bc1TOeuIsD

Another netizen shared how he used to look up to Pacquiao’s faith in God but things have changed as he seems to worship Duterte now.
Dati hanga ako nag pe-pray sya before the fight, kasi may hinihingi na Diyos lng makapagbibigay.
Ngayon yung hinihingi nya si Duterte naman magbibigay so doon naman sya sa poon nagdarasal.
Change of heart ba Manny? Depende sa profit?

The senator seems to agree on issues depending on his convenience which are very questionable and inconsistent.
He's Christian only when it's convenient for him, just like a lot of politicians who claim to practice Christian values

Netizens also noted the importance of the separation of church and the state reminding Pacquaio that he cannot ‘serve two masters’.
No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

In 2016, he was accused of being a homophobe when he compared gay people to being worse than animals.
However, considering his ‘religious beliefs’, it is ironic that he is a persistent advocate of the death penalty. In a previous radio interview with DWIZ, Pacquiao wanted to push for the revival of the death penalty because accordingly, the bible permits killings for heinous crimes.
“Kung Bible ang pag-uusapan binibigyan ng karapatan ang authority to impose death penalty to those who commit heinous crime even in our constitution, andiyan ‘yan. It’s not sa sarili ko, o kagustuhan ko, andiyan naman ‘yan sa Bible at constitution wala naman sigurong problema, pagdedebatehan naman ‘yan,” he said.
In 2017, he again defended the death penalty saying that even Jesus was sentenced to death.
Recently, rumors have increased about Pacquaio’s intention to tun in the 2022 Presidential elections.
Despite this, during his interview with Nas Daily, he revealed that he regrets entering politics.
Then accepted the PDP Laban presidency, at the same time told in an interview he regretted entering politics. Wala itong sariling utak. Paano pa pag ibinoto ng mga wala ring utak?👿👿👿
