Action star and die-hard Duterte supporter Robin Padilla has categorically denied any plans to enter politics.
During the special screening of his docu movie Memoirs of a Teenage Rebel, Binoe said he’s not a politician and he will never be.
“Ay hindi, hindi talaga. Hindi ako politician… Hindi ako politiko at kailanman hindi ako magiging politiko.
He also shared that no one, even his idol President Rodrigo Duterte, can convince him to enter politics or to run for public office.
Robin also added that he pledges on his father’s grave that he will never enter politics and he prefers to concentrate on showbiz where he can do more things.
“Kaya ipagtanggol n’yo ako kapag sinasabing kakandidato ako, ipagtanggol n’yo ako. No way! Hindi ako ‘yun. Mas gusto ko magkasama tayo sa showbiz! Dito mayroon akong magagawa!” he added.
Robin is known as one of the loyal supporters of the President. He has always portrayed himself as a nationalist and patriot who will do everything for the country.
However, his die-hard support for Duterte also ironically contradicts his nationalist stance because he always chose to defend and side with Duterte even in issues and government policies jeopardizing the country’s well being.
And with that, Robin has made flip-flopping statements just to concur with Duterte like his recent u-turn with his criticism against the MMFF.
