Comedian and vlogger Ogie Diaz took to social media to express his frustration over the statement of performer Mystica, regarding the viral incident of a policeman killing two civilians.
Mystica previously aired her opinion on social media regarding the said shooting incident that was perpetrated by Senior Master Sgt. Jonel Nuezca who shot his neighbors 52-year-old Sonya Gregorio and 25-year-old son Frank Anthony Gregorio in Paniqui, Tarlac on December 20.
According to an article by Inquirer, Mystica mentioned that she would prefer to be jailed rather than being humiliated in front of her child.
“Well noong tiningnan ko naman saan nag-ugat, well, at talagang tiningnan ko talaga kung ano ang pangyayari, mga ganun, ay talagang mga pasaway nga naman kasi ‘yung maglola,” she said.
“Well if I would be that policeman as well, hindi na baleng ako ay makulong. Ayaw ko lang na mapahiya at mawalan ng dignidad ‘yung trabaho ko bilang pulis na nagme-maintain ng peace and order,” she added.
“Sa pamamagitan ng ginawa niya, kung iyon na lang ang way para mapatahimik itong maglola, then he did his thing. That’s what I think, diba? Ano ang dapat niyang gawin?” she further explained.
Mystica’s statement regarding the said incident garnered various reactions from the netizens. Some believed that the performer failed to comprehend the situation, while some noted that Mystica is just an attention-seeker.
However, Ogie was clear in his opinion on Mystica as he said that the performer should just look for a job so that she can have something to be busy about.
“Mystica, hanap ka ng work para [may] iba kang pinagkakaabalahan,” Ogie wrote on Twitter.
The said shooting that happened just days before Christmas was reported of rooting from a simple dispute from neighbors. Hours after the shooting, it was reported that Nuezca already surrendered to the investigators and was said to be facing double murder charges.
Meanwhile, Mystica has previously claimed that she has a boyfriend supporting her financial needs and doesn’t need showbiz anymore. Through a Facebook post, she revealed with a screen capture that her ex named Marcus Keeler sent Php 250,000 to her bank account.
In her vlog, she revealed that her ex of 25 years offered to take care of her, especially during the pandemic. Her ex also asked that she retire from showbiz.
“So yung ex ko na for 25 years, iniwan ko noon because mas pinili ko ang showbiz. Pero ngayon, once and for all, pinapili na nya ako. Like I said noon, nag-start na ng lockdown sya na yung nagbibigay ng finances ko pagdating sa pagkain, paying bills, mga ganon. Maliban doon sa aking investment. Pero mostly, sya na yung nag tatakecare sa akin,” said Mystica.
Mystica is known for her role in Querido (2014), D’ Uragons (2002) and FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano (2015). She was previously a part of GMA network’s upcoming teleserye ‘Owe My Love’ but she was removed from the cast due to her continuous demands that irritated the show’s director, producers, and staff.
