Maine Mendoza has denied she is the one in a sex video being circulated online.
On her Twitter account, the actress aggressively denied being involved in such a scandal.

Meanwhile, Maine’s talent manager Rams David warned netizens about spreading such misinformation.
On his Twitter account, he warned those trolls that there is an existing law that punishes anyone who uses the internet to defame someone.

The talent management of Maine issued a statement that the ‘sex scandal’ of the actress was manipulated using deepfake technology, a software that can alter a video and embed a person’s face on it.

They are asking for the public to become more discerning with whatever content comes up online. Still, the fans of the actress were outraged by the fake sex video as they pointed out that it will be damaging for the actress’ career.
Recently, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray was also involved in a malicious photo that circulated online. In the photo, the beauty queen was made to appear topless. However, it was also fake and Catriona proceeded to the National Bureau of Investigation’s Cybercrime division to file a formal complaint.
