As Kim Chiu signed another contract with ABS-CBN and its talent agency Star Magic, one question popped up: is she the new Star Magic Queen?
Kim has a number of projects that she will be doing in 2021.
But the actress humbly downplayed on the impression that she had been raised as the “queen” of Star Magic.
During the virtual mediacon for Bawal Lumabas, she explained, “Una, hindi ako reyna. Marami pang mas matagal pa sa mundo ng Star Magic.”
The actress even joked that it was her seniority among the stars left in Star Magic that made projects come her way.
“Nag-expire na kasi ‘yung contract ko sa Star Magic and ABS-CBN, so ako ‘yung natira na medyo senior sa kanilang lahat.”
As one of Star Magic’s senior talents, Kim also talked about how she shares her lessons in showbiz with the new generation of stars.
“Don’t forget where you came from no matter how high you are. Dapat isipin mo pa rin kung sino ang nandiyan na tumulong sa ‘yo.”.
And one thing Kim doesn’t forget is to always be thankful for the opportunities that she has received.
“Nasaan ka man ngayon, don’t forget to give thanks. Humility. Look back. Huwag kang makakalimot kahit sobrang taas ka na. I know it is you, but there are people behind you who helped you, where you are right now.”
As of now, aside from her regular shows It’s Showtime, ASAP, and PBB Connect, she has lead role in Bawal Lumabas: The Series on iWant TFC.
