Forbes Asia recognized Kathryn Bernardo as one of the 100 digital stars across the Asia-Pacific region.
The list focused on stars who have immense social media engagement and charitable contributions to society, especially during the pandemic.
Kathryn is one of the seven Filipino celebrities to be included in the list of Forbes Asia.
Forbes Asia recognizes Bernardo’s outstanding roles in the Philippines’ two highest-grossing films of all time.
She starred in The Hows of Us (2018) with her boyfriend Daniel Padilla. In 2019, she teamed up with Alden Richards in the film Hello, Love, Goodbye, the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time after earning gross revenue of about P880 million pesos worldwide.
Her role in Hello, Love, Goodbye awarded her both Film Actress of the Year and Phenomenal Star of Philippine Cinema during the Box Office Entertainment Awards in Manila.
With her inclusion in the list, the young actress expressed her gratitude to Forbes magazine.
“It’s an honor to be mentioned alongside people who put their influence to good use, especially in these trying times where the digital platform plays a huge role in raising awareness and promoting positivity,” she said.
Daniel Padilla is also a proud boyfriend with Bernardo’s achievement as he captioned her photo with, “That’s what I’m talking about.”
Aside from Bernardo, other Filipino celebrities who made it on the list are Angel Locsin, Anne Curtis, Marian Rivera, Vice Ganda, Kim Chiu, and Sarah Geronimo.
