Another hilarious story was shared by It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda about Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez.
In the segment of It’s Showtime Tawag ng Tanghalan, the contestant shared that she is a big fan of Regine Velasquez. Vice then shared how Asia’s Songbird to him and “asked” for help.
“Yung ‘Never Walk Alone’ pinaglaban yan ni Regine Velasquez sa isang international singing contest. That time kase nung lumaban si Regine sinama niya ako, nag pasama lang siya.”
The Unkabogable Star even shared that he and Princess of Pop, Britney Spears are very good friends.
“Eh that time wala naman akong work. Eh that time nag-wo-world tour din si Britney (Spears) so hindi din kame nagkikita.
“So that time ito namang Regine nung nalaman niyang chika ko si Britney eh fame whore yan si Regine, dumikit dikit sa akin gustong sumikat.”
Vice Ganda even joked that she was the one who trained Regine and even brought her to Tokyo for the singing competition.
“Dumikit dikit sa akin [sabi pa] ‘girl ipakilala mo naman ako kay Britney para sumikat ako’ sabi ko naman kay Regine, eh pinakinggan ko yung Regine. Parang may talent naman tong si Regine.’
“Kaya kinaibigan ako si Regine para i-train ko siya. Ayun yung singing contest doon sa International. Sa Tokyo yata yun sinamahan ko siya wala kaseng pamasahe.”
“Eh that time gipit ring ako, [ni] G-Cash ako ni Britney, pero ngayon na realize ko mas close pala ako kay Regine.”
The ‘story time’ didn’t end on It’s Showtime. OnTwitter, Vice retweeted an edited photo made by fans of him, Britney Spears, and Christine Aguilera.

When co-host Vhong Hilario jumped in and also joked with Vice Ganda, the two laughed and then Vice truthfully shared what he really feels about Regine.
“Regine is my life; Regine is my angel. She’s my answered prayer, pinagdasal ko talaga na ma me meet si Regine.”
Regine and Vice are friends, even working together and making history with their three-day concert that was sold out.
