Some people may hate a particular influencer or vlogger because of his stunts on social media. But making someone believe they’re going to get a job is just pure evil. It is not a path that people should venture into.
Controversial influencer Buknoy Glamurrr recently shared his frustration over a live feed on Facebook regarding a traumatic experience.
In his Facebook live, he shared how he had been deceived by a an unnamed spa and salon in Angeles, Pampanga.
“May isa pong spa na nakipag-business collab sakin. Syempre as an influencer po sa trabaho, ginagawa ko po yung duty ko para mag-promote and everything, para lumakas yung spa, lumakas yung mga customer, dagsain, pumunta yung mga customer para magpagawa,” he said.
According to him, everything went smoothly and both parties agreed with the terms and conditions. There was only one thing to do—sign the contract.
Buknoy, together with his manager, travelled all the way from Antipolo to Pampanga to meet the owner of the business and to sign the contract. However, they were shocked as the owner decided to cancel the endorsement that Buknoy would be doing.
“Then suddenly po pagdating namin dun, nag-meeting, nag-usap and everything, tapos ki-nancel. Ki-nancel,” Buknoy continued.
As a result, the vlogger broke down in tears as he explained how devastating it was for him and his managers.
Buknoy’s emotions were really apparent as he continue narrating the story—he had been led on.
What’s more sad is that it was his work that’s being affected by such antic. Fighting back his tears, he pleaded with peopl not to not make a joke when it comes to businesses where his line of work is being affected as well.
“Tapos sana ho wag n’yo gawing biro kapag ganun kasi business yun, trabaho ko po yun.”
He was made to believe that everything will be smooth sailing. However, he was wrong.
Buknoy and his managers spent 6 hours in total just to travel to Pampanga and back only to return with a broken heart. He also shared how he borrowed money from his managers just to prepare for the ‘photoshoot’.
“Sana po next time wag nyo gawing biro.
While Buknoy was talking about the experience, it can be heard that one of his managers was still optimistic about the incident. They were still thankful to other brands who trust them despite the issues that the vlogger faced.
Pero sana wag pamarisan yung kanina,” the manager said.
It was such a traumatic experience for the vlogger since he wasted his effort and time. Before he gave his phone to his manager he said: “Sana po wag niyo gawing biro yun.
One of his managers also asked for support for the vlogger.
“Suporta natin si Buknoy. Wag natin syang lokohin. Maraming salamat sa inyo,” he said.
One of his managers who was driving also aired his side regarding the horrifying experience.
For him, his primary concern was the young vlogger who was just trying to make a living. What the anonymous spa did was done with malice. They were led to believe that they’ll get something out of their trip to Pampanga.
Kasi nasira nga yung bahay nila gawa nung bagyo.”
He also asked people to not do such a thing. They were in good faith since the owner of the spa seems professional.
I’m speaking on behalf of all artists at kasamahan natin sa industriya. Kasi po in good faith po kami. May conversation po kami sa text and messenger. Maayos naman po yung naging usapan. In good faith kasi alam namin professional naman na kausap. Tapos on the spot na nandun na po kami sa location eh ayun po magka-cancel,” he added.
He then warned other influencers to be vigilant as they are also prone to these kind of pranks.
In good faith po sa amin. Kahit malayo, alam namin na professional yung nakausap namin, yung may-ari ng business na yun,” he said.
Before ending the video, Buknoy asked again to stop this kind of joke as it is not healthy and funny at all. He proceeds to share his experience of being led by people and how much it hurts. He even emphasized that he made the video not to gain sympathy but to spread awareness.
Before ending the video, he reads one of the comments stating that he deserves it. His response is, “Sana maranasan mo rin ‘to. God bless sa’yo ha? Ingat ka sa buhay.”
