Boy Abunda reacts to non-inclusion in the 2020 ABS-CBN Christmas Station ID

King of Talk Boy Abunda just shrugged off issues about his non-inclusion in the 2020 ABS-CBN Christmas Station ID.

On December 1, ABS-CBN released its most anticipated station ID titled “Ikaw and Liwanag at Ligaya.” The music video featured a number of Kapamilya celebrities joined by their executives.

However, some netizens noticed that one of its prized talents the King of Talk Boy Abunda was not in the video.

But in a statement to PEP’s Jojo Gabinete, Abunda said it’s not a big deal for him if he was left out of this year’s station ID.

“Mula sa puso ko, I really don’t mind. Sa ngalan ng nanay, I really don’t mind,” he said. “Hayaan mo, hahabol ako bago mag-Pasko.”

According to Boy, what’s more important is that ABS-CBN continues to entrust him with TV shows and programs where he can share his talent.

Last December 5, Boy made a TV comeback with his public affairs talk show on ANC, The Boy Abunda Interview Specials. Boy’s first guest on his new show’s 2-part special was Palayan City Mayor Rianne Cuerva who plays a big part in his Make Your Nanay Proud Foundation.

Abunda’s last show with ABS-CBN was Tonight with Boy Abunda which was discontinued following the pandemic and the ABS-CBN shutdown.

Meanwhile, aside from his program in ANC, Tito Boy is also set to make a comeback on ABS-CBN as he is bound to host another public affairs show and an entertainment program in the first months of 2021.
