Filipina singer Bituin Escalante took a swipe at PNP chief Debold Sinas as he released a statement that party-goers during this holiday will be arrested by the police.
In her tweet she wrote that the PNP chief has zero credibility when it comes to supposedly violators of health protocols.
The reason she wrote that tweet is that Sinas was involved in a major scandal questioning his integrity as an authority and as a person with morals.
During the height of the pandemic and with strict quarantine protocols not to withheld mass gatherings, the police official violated the aforementioned protocols when he celebrated his birthday alongside his constituents.

Being the number one violator, this led people to question him as a person with authority since people perceive him as a rule-breaker. However, the government was lenient with Sinas, even promoting him to PNP chief.
Instead of making Sinas answer for his crime, the police officer was given a chance to ‘redeem’ himself and be re-evaluated by the Duterte administration. However, despite him being given a higher position, Filipinos have lost their trust in such a person for his inability to follow simple rules.
With him being exempted from such a breach in quarantine protocol, commoners were not given the chance to have the privilege that Sinas had during his mañanita controversy. Police arrested many for a simple violation yet had let Sinas free and absolved.
Now, with him as the PNP chief, he has ordered that party-goers will be arrested whereas he was a party-goer himself—with a heavy fact that he had done it during the height of COVID-19 and with the strictest form of quarantine being implemented, people will never believe that he would follow his own rule.
