ABS-CBN releases much awaited ‘Ikaw ang Liwanag at Ligaya’; sends celebrities crying

The Christmas Station ID of ABS-CBN just premiered but it has already become a big hit.

Emotions have been high as the song “Ikaw ang Liwanag at Ligaya” and the Kapamilya network didn’t fail to deliver a touching video.

Celebrities raved about how the song was so beautiful and emotional that they couldn’t help cry.

Journalist Mike Navallo tweeted using the #IkawAngLiwanagAtLigaya.

DJ Jhaiho also tweeted using the #IkawAngLiwanagAtLigaya minutes after the network finished airing the full music video of their Christmas Station ID for this year.

Some thought that the CSID of ABS-CBN would give a hint towards its shutdown but was taken by surprise as the music video only featured love and the act of giving back.

France Sajorda tweeted, “I was expecting na gearing towards ABS-CBN Shutdown ang tema ng #IkawAngLiwanagAtLigaya, pero hindi. It is actually more of giving back, and reminding everyone that there’s hope sa gitna ng dilim.”

Avertising and Promo Head Vaughn Hautea couldn’t fight back his tears. He wrote, “NAKAKAAIYAK.Hindi nawala ang magic ng ABSCBN CSID!!! #IkawAngLiwanagAtLigaya.”

Nikki Valdez couldn’t help but be emotional because of the CSID. She wrote, “Tagos sa puso!!!! Umiiyak pa ako.”

Rod Magaru was speechless regarding the entirety of the music video. He felt that it was the summary of 2020 which is full of hope despite the disaster and hardships that Filipinos experienced.

He tweeted, “Chusko nakakaiyak!!! Always the time of the year where I am speechless watching station ID. It like summarizing 2020 with light and joy. Gosh love you Kapamilya! #IkawAngLiwanagAtLigaya.”

Some were amazed by how the network, despite losing its franchise, was able to make a heartwarming and emotional video such as “Ikaw ang Liwanag at Ligaya”.

Drix Salazar wrote, “Nawalan man ng prangkisa, ang siguradong hindi mawawala ay ang pagbibigay serbisyo ng ABS-CBN. Patuloy na magiging LIWANAG at maghahatid ng LIGAYA sa bawat Kapamilyang Pilipino. #IkawAngLiwanagAtLigaya  @ABSCBN @kathrinavs.”

Famous Twitter personality @krizzy_kalerqui agreed that even without its franchise, ABS-CBN still could make the best Christmas Station ID among all networks in the Philippines.

She wrote, “You can’t deny that ABS-CBN offers the best and heartfelt CHRISTMAS STATION ID. No franchise but still no one comes close noh? #IkawAngLiwanagAtLigaya.”

Anjo Bagaoisan, a journalist, even said that the song will be spread worldwide.

He wrote, “Ikakalat sa mundo. #IkawAngLiwanagAtLigaya.”

Actress Agot Isidro proudly even said that no one can beat ABS-CBN when it comes to making station IDs.

She wrote, “Nobody does Station ID like ABS-CBN. #KapamilyaForever.”

For Jeff Canoy, he even compared the Avengers Endgame crossover to ABS-CBN’s CSID. He tweeted, “Avengers Endgame is the most ambitious crossover event in history, nothing else will compare. CCM: Hold my beer #IkawAngLiwanagAtLigaya.”

Ikaw ang Liwanag at Ligaya featured the hope that was given despite everything bad that’s going on not just in the Philippines but also in other countries.

With COVID-19 which still poses a threat and storms that recently ravaged the country, the song aimed to spread love. Despite losing its franchise, ABS-CBN didn’t show any signs of aggression towards those responsible for it. The song is just pure love towards Filipinos.
