The recent death of Sonya Gregorio and her son by the hands of Jonel Nuezca, a police officer; comedian and TV host Vice Ganda couldn’t help but recall how his father died.
In a series of tweets, the comedian shared his most traumatic experience when his father was shot dead in front of him.
According to the host of ‘It’s Showtime’–he was in a state of shock when he saw the video. The memory of his father’s death came back to haunt him. He described his experience as the same as to what the Gregorios are feeling at this time.

Vice Ganda’s father, Reynaldo Viceral, was a barangay captain back in 1991 and was shot dead by someone with whom he had a quarrel. Vice Ganda narrated the horrific experience way back in 2011 where he revealed that his father had died on his feet.
The comedian in another tweet also prayed that the Gregorio family would not suffer the same fate as he and his family had during the death of his father. In his tweet, he said that they didn’t get the justice that they were seeking. He hopes that those that Sonya Gregorio and her son had left behind would get the justice that they deserve. He also prayed that no one would experience this kind of evil.
#JusticeforSonyaGregorio #JusticeforFrankGregorio#StopTheKillingsPH

Nuezca shot both Sonya and her son in the head. And as if he’s not content or double-checking if he dealt the final blow, he fired at them once again.
The video sparked outrage among Filipino people because of the brutal death of two innocent people. However, the government lists this incident as an isolated case, which angered the people.
The policeman surrendered in Rosales Pangasinan Municipal Police Station. He also had two homicidal cases last year.
