Kapuso star Thea Tolentino shared her happiness and excitement over her new drama series where she will play a different kontrabida role.
In an exclusive interview by GMANetwork.com, Thea candidly shared the reason she’s very happy with this new project even though she will still be a kontrabida.

According to Thea, this will be the first time that her role will not be involved in stealing a man.
“Ang saya kasi hindi ako mang-aagaw ng lalaki this time!” she said.
Thea is set to join Kapuso network’s upcoming series The Lost Recipe as Ginger Romero alongside lead stars and new screen partners Mikee Quintos and Kelvin Miranda.
Meanwhile, the Kapuso star also disclosed that during the story conference for the series she really made it a point to clarify if her role will again be involved in stealing a man.
“Talagang ‘yun ‘yung pinaka nilinaw ko. Tinanong nila kami kung may mga questions po kayo, tapos nagtaas ako ng kamay. ‘Tanong ko lang po, may aagawin po ba ako ulit?
However, she was advised by their production manager that she’ll no longer play the role that she has held for quite some time and that made her so happy.
“Sabi naman ng PM namin na si Kuya Mychal, ‘Wala, ako na ang maglilinaw sa ‘yo, wala kang aagawing lalaki.’ Ang saya!,” Thea added.
Thea has always been typecast in a kontrabida role who is always trying to steal a man from the lead actress.
Her most recent projects with that kind of role include Madrasta where she played a former wife bound to take back her husband who’s now with another woman, Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko where she played a transexual who end up fighting for a man against her former wife, and Haplos where she played a rival to her sister.
