Rocco Nacino and Gerald Anderson were some of the celebrities who are enlisted as army reservists.
They were criticized before for being a reservist just for show, Some even labeled them as ‘cosplayers’ after signing up in the armed forces.
However, they disproved these accusations as they rendered service for the country.
After Typhoon Ulysses brought massive destruction in areas of Luzon especially in Cagayan, the two actors joined the relief mission for the victims.
Gerald, who has the rank of lieutenant in the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), assisted in providing relief in Cagayan and Isabela areas on November 20.
With his team, Gerald initiated the packing and distribution of these relief packages for the typhoon victims.
Last week, Rocco, a Philippine Navy reservist, also aided in distributing relief goods to the residents of Rodriguez, Rizal, which is also one of the areas that were heavily damaged by Ulysses.
The S.T.A.R.S. team of the Philippine Navy and Marine Corps, where Rocco belongs, was able to help about 2,000 people in the said areas.
Aside from being physically present, Rocco also used his social media presence to ask for monetary donations from netizens for the victim of the said typhoon.
