Die-hard Duterte supporter Robin Padilla came to the rescue of President DRodrigo uterte after getting the ire of the netizens.
Duterte has been under fire over the weekend because of his absence during the disaster briefing for Typhoon Rolly.
The hashtag #NasaanAngPangulo became one of the top trending topics on Twitter with many netizens asking for the President’s whereabouts amidst the onslaught of Super Typhoon Rolly.
Meanwhile, as a die-hard supporter of the President, Padilla immediately went on social media to defend Duterte from the criticisms about his absence.
In an Instagram post, Padilla instantly became the President’s mouthpiece saying the government especially the President is on top of the situation. He also echoed the DDS social media propaganda saying Duterte’s presence cannot stop the typhoon.
Padilla also praised Duterte’s personal aide, Senator Bong Go, for allegedly working tirelessly in the background without getting media mileage, although Bong Go was very present on media, speaking on behalf of the president. He claimed he, Go, and Philip Salvador were all monitoring the typhoon and doing their efforts behind the scenes.
Robin also asked people to stop politicizing the typhoon because this is the time
He also announced Duterte’s trip to Bicol to do an aerial inspection on those areas affected by the typhoon.
