After Typhoon Rolly left the Philippines in a devastated state, President Rodrigo Duterte still had time to make jokes about naming typhoons.
In his meeting with the Cabinet officials this Monday, Duterte jokingly suggested names for upcoming typhoons including the names of Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, Public Works Secretary Mark Villar, and Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rolly Bautista in the list of upcoming typhoon’s names.
“If I may add something, puwede nito idagdag ang pangalan ni Arturo pati ni Mark. Tapos na si Rolly,” he said.
“Doon ka magkuha sa dilaw, marami doon,” Duterte added.
During the time when Rolly was still unleashing its fury on the regions of the Philippines, President Duterte was in Davao and did not appear in a cabinet meeting when the super typhoon made its landfall.
This was his first appearance since Rolly entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
