Kapuso actor Mark Herras will not be part of GMA Network’s upcoming Christmas station ID and his talent manager, Lolit Solis, took to social media to express her reaction towards the actor’s exclusion.
Lolit “Manay” Solis is an entertainment news writer and talent manager. She is known for her bold and frank commentaries on different showbiz, social, and political issues on her Instagram account.
On Thursday, November 19, Manay Lolit posted on her Instagram about the exclusion of Herras from the said upcoming station ID of the Kapuso network. She said that whatever the reason for her actor’s exclusion in the station ID must be something that is reasonable and one that they should accept.
“Ewan ko kung bakit hindi nasama sa Christmas ID ng GMA7 si Mark Herras Salve. Anuman ang naging dahilan sa desisyon na iyon palagay ko naman ay tama at dapat tanggapin. In fairness, maganda ang presentation at pagkakagawa ng Christmas ID, nagbigay ng hope for a better tomorrow, at pag asa sa mga medyo nawawalan na ng lakas ng loob,” she said.
Herras won the first season of GMA’s StarStruck that’s why Lolit noted that the actor’s absence in the station ID was obvious as other StarStruck contestants were present.
“Ok naman ang line up of stars, naging obvious nga lang na wala si Mark Herras dahil nanduon ang ibang mga Starstruck , at siya na first winner ay wala. Hangga ngayon hindi ko pa alam ang dahilan, puwedeng hindi available si Mark sa araw ng shoot, puwedeng baka hindi na siya isinali dahil wala siyang regular show. Maraming puwede maging dahilan, pero hindi dapat ikagalit kung sakali dahil hindi naman porke hindi ka nasama, balewala ka na,” she said.

She ended her post by saying that Herras should reflect on himself on the reason he wasn’t included in the station ID. She said that the experience is an opener for the actor to strive harder.
“Tanggapin natin ng maluwag kung anuman ang reason bakit hindi nasali si Mark Herras. At si Mark mismo, dapat din maisip bakit nga hindi siya naisama. Eye opener ito kung para sa iyo ay importante. Itanong mo sa sarili mo mismo kung bakit, at sana nga ito ang maging daan para ikaw mismo magsikap na dapat kasali ako dahil importante ako. Imposible kasi na hindi ka isali pag importante ka, kaya dapat, lagi kang importante.”
Having a Christmas station ID is an annual event for the Kapuso network where it releases memorable tunes along with the participation of many celebrities in local showbiz.
GMA’s Christmas Station ID 2020 is titled “Isang Puso Ngayong Pasko” which is composed by Natasha Correos. It was sung by Kapuso artists like Julie Anne San Jose, Aicelle Santos, Maricris Garcia, Golden Canedo, Rita Daniela, Mark Bautista, Christian Bautista, Jeremiah Tiangco, Garett Bolden, and Gabbi Garcia.
On the other hand, Manay Lolit did a follow-up post about Mark Herras on her IG account where she apologized for being too harsh with her previous statement regarding the actor.

“Alam mo na medyo nag i slide ka na sa kinalalagyan mo pag di ka na hinahabol, hindi na tulad ng dati na isa ka sa laging nauuna,” Manay Lolit said.
She added saying that Herras should start thinking about his career. She said that her harsh words were just her way of caring for the actor.
“Kaya kung nasabi ko iyon Mark , sorry, pero dapat mo rin pag isipan ang lahat para sa career mo. Ikaw lang ang puwede mag save at mag ayos sa propesyon mo,” she said.
Mark Herras won as the ‘Ultimate Male Survivor’ in the reality talent show StarStruck (2003-2004). After that stint, the actor has become a part of several TV series in the Kapuso network such as Forever in My Heart (2004), Encantadia (2006), I Luv NY (2006), Hiram na Puso (2012), and The Cure (2018). He recently appeared as a guest on the Philippine adaptation Descendants of the Sun.
