Kris Aquino disclosed that she had another COVID-19 scare after after one of her drivers contracted the novel coronavirus.
On Instagram, Kris posted a screenshot of a text message confirming that their family tested negative of COVID-19.
But one netizen found Aquino’s update as OA or overacting, “Ang arte kasi. Dmi alalay. Lalong [nagkakasakit] kasi kulang ka ng sense of autonomy.”

Aquino made a lengthy reply to the netizen who said she’s just overreacting to the situation.
The driver who tested positive drove for Bimby’s homeschooling teacher and other members of Aquino’s team, which was why Kris was alarmed.
“I’ll try my best to be polite- I have kuya josh with special needs, and I have bimb who is being homeschooled- so may nakatutok sa kanila I have been open about my pre-existing health issues that make me more vulnerable during this pandemic so the ‘autonomy’ you want is next to impossible.”
Kris also stressed how aware and responsible she is to the people around her especially that she is back in showbiz with her back to back projects.
“You know what weighed on me & still does- I am responsible for the well being of the people with me… it is my choice to continue to work because it’s a blessing, for them they have responsibilities to help their families or mortgages to take care of… “
“That’s why none of us have ever played the blame game- we know we chose this out of free will. And we continue to pray, to hope for the best, BUT always be prepared for all possible eventualities.”
One netizen even said “being OA” in the time of COVID-19 is actually a strength and not a weakness.
Kris had recently shared she was undergoing swab tests as part of her preparations for her back-to-back projects.
“Hello everybody kakatapos lang namin ng PCR (home testing) swabbing and lahat kami naka-quarantine because in a few days, I’m going to shoot a commercial and medyo strict doon, I can’t tell you the rest of the details.”
