Kapamilya actress Julia Montes piqued the interests of netizens after a photo where she was wearing a ring on her ring finger trended on social media.
On November 9, the actress posted a photo on her Instagram account where she was seen preparing food.
“Missing your family? You can simply cook something that will remind you of them … para kahit malayo sila parang kasama mo parin sa hapag kainan 😊❤️ #JuliaM,” she wrote.

However, people particularly noticed Julia’s ring on her ring finger and speculated that it was an engagement ring from Coco Martin to whom she has been romantically linked for several years now.
Netizens mentioned that the 25-year-old actress has been wearing the same ring for a while now which sparked the engagement rumors even more.
An Instagram user named @myrenyhenmalagueno said that, “Palaging suot niya yang ring na yan heheh sana talaga may mangyare aminan sa public.”
@applegraceave said, “Yun oh.. ang mahiwagang rin ni bebe.”
Another netizen speculated that the ring came from Julia and Coco’s rumored vacation in Balesin Island in Polillo, Quezon in October amid the pandemic.
“Baka yan ang bigay ni deng noon sa [Balesin] ang balita na nagpropose [si Coco],” the netizen wrote.
Meanwhile, Julia did not address the issue about her ring and seemed to have limited the comments allowed on the said IG post.
This was not the first time that people took notice of Julia’s ring because back in 2019, a photo of the actress wearing her glasses and a ring surfaced as people speculated that she was already engaged to Coco.
Some people agreed with the rumor while some said that the ring might just be a gift to the actress from her friend or family.
Julia and Coco first paired up in the drama series “Walang Hanggan (2012) which became a huge success and aired for ten months. They then starred in a movie titled A Moment In Time in the following year.
The two also teamed up in the period drama series Ikaw Lamang where they co-starred with Kim Chiu and Jake Cuenca.
Julia recently posted a photo of Coco on her Instagram account when she greeted the actor on his 39th birthday. The actress has been dedicating birthday posts for Coco every year.
