Journalists paid their respects to the late Radyo Patrol 39 Sky Patroller Ricky Velasco via Twitter.

Reporter Karen Davila shared how she remembered Velasco while expressing her sadness over the news of his passing. She wrote that Velasco was the kindest, most humble, and most welcoming person in ABS-CBN.

ABS-CBN reporter Jeff Canoy also shared Velasco’s kindness through the time he encountered the Sky Patroller.

Velasco was a veteran reporter of DZMM’s Radyo Patrol. He served as Radyo Patrol 39 for 18 years and became the Sky Patrol of ABS-CBN’s News Department, wherein he made live traffic reports while on the network giant’s helicopter. His family said that Velasco died of cardiac arrest at the age of 61.
