Actor JM de Guzman revealed that a producer scammed him by making him shoot a sensitive scene but the film was never released.
In an online interview with his Angelica Panganiban through her digital talk show Ask Angelica together with director Antoinette Jadaone, JM talked about the said unpleasant experience in his life as an actor.
JM and Angelica were the stars in the hit romantic comedy film That Thing Called Tadhana (2014) directed by Antoinette Jadaone.
In the interview, Angelica made JM confess about the unlikeable things he did in his past projects. The actor revealed that he was scammed by a producer when he was asked to film sensitive scenes but the movie was never finished.
He also revealed that the producer filmed the sensitive scenes in the movie first.
“May nandaya sa aking isang producer na gawin ang isang proyekto na medyo sensitive yung scenes. So inuna niya yung sensitive scenes pero hindi niya tinapos yung pelikula,” he said.
JM did not name the producer but Angelica suspected that he was not a part of the showbiz industry. She said that the producer might be working in the porn industry that’s why JM was asked to film the sensitive scenes.
“Baka naman nabudol ka lang, hindi sila taga-industriya? Baka sa porn,” said Angelica.
Meanwhile, Direk Tonette also revealed the things that she disliked about her past projects as a movie director. She mentioned that she wanted to go back to her first film at Star Cinema which is You’re My Boss (2015) and make some changes that would improve it even more.
She explained that she made some decisions in her first film regarding the process of filming that she realized that she could’ve done better. But she stated that she still lacks the experience at the time.
“Siguro yung sana mas may nabigay pa ako, yung first film ko sa Star Cinema, yung “’ou’re My Boss.’ Looking back, hindi naging wise yung mga ibang desisyon ko. Basta sa processes ko as director. Yun nga, kasi bagets pa ako,” Direk Tonette said.
JM de Guzman is currently an exclusive talent of ABS-CBN’s Star Magic. He was a part of the canceled drama series called ‘Pamilya Ko (2019-20).
He will be a part of the upcoming Star Creatives TV series called Init Sa Magdamag along with Kapamilya artists Gerald Anderson and Yam Concepcion.
