Actress Jessy Mendiola asked for forgiveness from the people that she might have offended when she was still young and new to the showbiz industry.
She made the revelation in her YouTube vlog that premiered on October 22 where she asked the netizens regarding their assumptions about her.
One netizen mentioned that he thought of Jessy as someone who is mean to which the actress agreed.
She said that she can be mean at times when she has her menstrual period or when she is hungry. She revealed that she was mean when she was younger because she was not yet happy at that point in her life.
“Masungit daw ako? Minsan. Kapag dalaw ng buwan or kapag gutom, hangry ako. Aminin ko talaga, masungit ako noon,” she said.
She explained that when a person is not happy with his/her life, one would always bring that negativity and it would reflect no matter where they go or what they do.
She then apologized to all the people that she encountered before that she might have been mean to.
“So mga nasungitan ko noon. I’m very, very sorry,” the actress said.
However, she said that she has changed now and hoped that people would perceive her as someone who is kind. After reading another assumption from a netizen saying she’s “humble,” she said that she really did hope that people would see her that way.
“I hope I come off humble sa ibang tao. Sana sa aura ko ngayon, sana how I treat my co-workers and other people outside of my circle sana nga I come off as a humble person,” she stated.
“I guess my experiences in life and ‘yung mga lessons na natutunan ko ay naturuan na rin ako na maging humble. Kasi ganoon talaga ang life.
She also talked about how all people have something they are going through with their life and might become lost sometimes. However, she said that people just need to find the right person for them to focus on the things that matter.
She thanked Luis Manzano, her current boyfriend, who taught her to be kinder to other people. She said that Luis is a good example for everyone.
He rarely, rarely shows ‘yung pagtulong niya,” she concluded.
Jessy Mendiola recently transferred to the TV5 network and already has a new show with the network. She hosted the lifestyle and fitness show called Fit for Life.
The fitness program premiered on August 16 and ran every Sunday morning in the Kapatid network. The show aired its final episode on November 1, 2020.
