Filipino fans of heart Korean actor Park Seo-Joon were in an uproar on social media asking for the identity of the girl in his latest Smart Communications ad who even shared behind-the-scenes selfies with Park Seo-Joon.
On Instagram, Burmese model and beauty queen May Myat Noe thanked Filipinos for their supportive messages over her being cast opposite Park in Smart Communication’s new TVC.
“Thank you everyone for your love and congratulations. I’m trying my best to reply every single one of your messages. Salamat po🙏❤️ #behindthescenes #smartako”
But some Filipino fans made humorous comments that the model was jumping ahead of the queue to spend time with the actor,
Netizen Joken Metawin Kanawut Tawan immediately reiterated that Noe should be waiting in the queue just like others.
“Ginalingan ng Myanmar. Burmese pala yung kasama ni Park Seo Joon sa newest TVC Ng Smart. May Myat Noe pangalan ni girl. Teh, pumila ka!”
But Joken also raised another issue, why did Smart Communications get a Burmese model instead of a Filipino especially that the ad will address Filipino consumers, “Why did Smart not get a Filipina model to play opposite PSJ? This commercial is intended for Filipino audience, right? Just curious.”

Others also have the same sentiment as Joken, that Noe should wait in line just like the others,

Park Seo-Jun was introduced by the Philippine telecommunications company ‘SMART’ as its newest endorser and released an advertisement featuring the actor. Park Seo-jun seemed to be consoling the woman, Noe, in the video who had just gone through a breakup in the story.
May Myat Noe was born and raised in Yangon, she studied in Singapore, then returned to Myanmar, where she won the 2014 Miss Asia Pacific World. She was also a contestant in the fourth season of Asia’s Next Top Model in 2016.
