On his Twitter account, Enchong Dee shared a clip of Isabela governor Rodolfo Albano III’s interview with ANC.
In the said interview, the governor blamed ABS-CBN for not sending their news team immediately to cover the situation amidst Typhoon Ulysses in their province.
However, the news anchor, Christian Esguerra, reminded him that ABS-CBN was not granted a new franchise therefore its regional networks were shut down.
Enchong commended Esguerra for reminding the politician about how lawmakers junked the network’s franchise.
Salamat @IanEsguerra for showing this💎 https://t.co/AaXDXLHr8F

He can’t handle the audacity of these officials who are placing the blame on ABS-CBN when they were the ones who denied the network’s bid for a fresh franchise.
And, Isabela governor’s brother Antonio Albano, 1st district representative and the vice-chair of the House legislative franchises committee was part of those 70 lawmakers.
ABS-CBN employees believe that this should serve as a lesson for politicians. Amidst all the calamities happening in our country, these just let us realize the vital role of news and information which was formerly delivered best by ABS-CBN.
Yes, ABS-CBN cannot stop the typhoon or whatnot, but it could instill awareness for the citizens. It could’ve informed them to be prepared, to be alert, or to evacuate early. However, all of these became impossible because of the 70 lawmakers who voted against ABS-CBN’s new franchise.
Enchong Dee stars in the newest Netflix film entitled Alter Me with Jasmine Curtis. It was directed by RC Delos Reyes and written by Danno Christoper Mariquit.
