The It’s Showtime hosts seemingly took a swipe at Direk Bobet Vidanes after the director transferred to TV5 after being with ‘It’s Showtime’ for about 11 years.
The hosts mentioned about transferring channels and loyalty during a recent episode of their noontime show.
During the Hide and Sing segment of the show, the hosts were guessing who the real singer is among the three contestants. It’s Showtime hosts playfully argued about their choices of who the real singer was.
The hosts seemed to be hinting at Direk Bobet when they mentioned about how they should be sticking to their choices.
Vhong Navarro stated that Ryan Bang should’ve stuck with his choice and not switch contestants.
“Si Ryan di dapat lumipat e. Kasi si Vice at Ion, number 2 na talaga. May lumipat, dapat hindi lumilipat ‘yun. Dun ka mag-stick sa 3,” Vhong said.
Ryan replied by saying that at least he didn’t switch channels which caught his co-hosts off guard. The host seemed to be referring to Direk Bobet who switched to a different channel and is set to work in TV5.
“Basta hindi ako lumilipat ng channel,” Ryan said.
Amy Perez tried to alleviate Ryan’s slip of the tongue by stressing that they were just talking about the game in the segment.
“Ang pinag-uusapan lang tago-kanta!” she said
But Vice Ganda followed after Ryan saying, “Sobra kang magsalita ah. Direk oh!”
Jugs Jugueta also talked about loyalty saying that Direk Bobet should have been loyal just like the It’s Showtime hosts.
“Sabi mo loyal ka, ba’t ka lumipat? Sabi mo loyal tayong lahat. Loyal kami ni Kuys Vhong, loyal kami ni Vice,” Jugs said.
Amy then asked, “May sama ng loob?” to which Karylle replied that it was because the topic was dug up.
Direk Bobet is no longer working at ABS-CBN and is set to be employed by Brightlight Productions. The production company is already working with former Kapamilya talents such as Billy Crawford, Korina Sanchez-Roxas, Ted Failon, Maja Salvador, DJ Chacha, Beauty Gonzalez, and Dimples Romana.
Direk Bobet’s departure came after ABS-CBN’s downsized operations due to its shutdown, which cuts employees’ salaries, along with new and stricter regulations.
As of this writing, Direk Bobet has yet to react to the supposed swipe at him by his It’s Showtime family.
