Singer-actress Agot Isidro has seemingly indirectly slammed the Cayetano siblings Pia and Alan Peter.
In a tweet, Agot called out personalities who she said should be ashamed because of what they are doing to their father’s legacy.
“Mahiya naman kayo sa legacy ng tatay ninyo.”
Mahiya naman kayo sa legacy ng tatay ninyo. 😒

Although she did not drop any names, it seemed that she referred to the Cayetano siblings following Sen. Pia Cayetano’s outburst at the Senate.
On Tuesday, November 10, Sen. Cayetano fumed with anger during the senate session after fellow senator Risa Hontiveros called to investigate the alleged BCDA anomaly which involves the funding used for the construction and staging of the 2019 South East Asian Games.

Pia’s brother, Taguig Rep. Alan Cayetano, was the head of the PHISGOC, the private organization tapped to handle the country’s hosting of the 2019 SEA Games held at the New Clark City in Tarlac.
In her speech Cayetano blasted Hontiveros’ privilege speech which called for a full investigation of the SEA Games funding.
“I am embarrassed that we choose to make a political issue out of a world-class facility. Kaya tuloy wala nang mag-aabalang magpatayo ng matitino at kahanga-hangang infrastructure dito sa Pilipinas dahil magpatayo ka lang ng maganda e sasabihin na sayo na may kalokohan ka. So paano? Puro bulok na lang tayo? Para walang pumansin, gano’n?”
“Tapos ngayon, ang kaisa-isang nagawa natin for them (athletes), binibigyan pa natin ng malisya. Kaya yan, yan ang mangyayari sa bansa natin. Puro malisya tayo, puro paghuhusga,” she added.
Hontiveros meanwhile defended her speech saying she only wanted to shed light about the allegations of corruption and she has no intention of undermining the facilities built or the country’s athletes.
“If the good colleague had caught most of my privilege speech it probably would not have caused the good gentlelady as much distress…Maganda naman talaga yung mga facilities [The facilities really are great], nobody’s arguing against that,’ Sen. Hontiveros said.
“Ang aking mga tanong na ni-raise ay walang pagbabawas sa pagbibigay halaga natin sa ating mga atleta mula pambansa hanggang lokal.
“We take the floor to hold people to account, no more, no less,” Hontiveros added.
Alan and Pia have been a constant subject of criticisms for being enablers of the administration and supporters of its most controversial measures.
With regards to the staging of the SEA Games meanwhile, Alan specifically was slammed over the overpriced cauldron. The former Speaker was also called out for being responsible for the rejection of the ABS-CBN franchise.
Because of these controversies, netizens and critics can’t help but compare them to their father, the late former Senator Renato Cayetano.
Even their father’s former co-host in the ABS-CBN program Compañero y Compañera Gel Santos-Relos didn’t mince words to slam Alan Cayetano for failing to immediately act on the ABS-CBN franchise application.
In her Asian Journal column, Gel blamed the former House Speaker for stalling on the ABS-CBN franchise.
“ABS-CBN was ordered to shut down the by the National Telecommunications Commission(NTC) after its old franchise expired on May 4, without any hearing pursuant to the rule of law. House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano failed to do his job to hear numerous petitions filed before House, with others dating back to 2014, during the time of President Benigno Aquino III,”
“Even before the coronavirus pandemic, Cayetano already determined that the issue was not a priority, and waited for the franchise to expire. This tactic went against the industry practice, whereby a company could expect an automatic renewal of license/franchise, especially when the company has been employing 11,000 employees as in the case of ABS-CBN, especially during a coronavirus pandemic,” wrote Santos-Relos.
