Kapamilya star Angel Locsin continued to help the Filipino people that were affected by super typhoon Rolly despite her fears amidst her red-tagging.
Angel recently admitted her fears that the people she tries to help might also be red-tagged by Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr. as she explained that her intention to help in the aftermath of typhoon Rolly might be affected since they need to go outside to give help to others.
However, Angel still offered her help to the families despite her fears by launching an online assistance initiative where she would give P1,000 cash aid for Filipinos who were badly hit by the typhoon.
She posted the guidelines on her Instagram account explaining that people should give a 2-minute video of their current situation after the typhoon made landfall.
The actress also noted that the people asking for help should have a Gcash account as it is where the financial assistance be distributed.
She mentioned that her team would accommodate the people from November 2-3 but she decided to extend it up to November 4.
On Tuesday, November 3, she posted on Twitter that she extended her assistance for a day as she explained that there are people who don’t have immediate access to electricity thus making communication difficult.
Typhoon Rolly Assistance Initiative will be extended until tomorrow. Nov. 4, 2020. We understand that a lot of areas still don’t have electricity and no means of communication. Keep safe 💋 #RollyPH https://t.co/pSnOYLU1fl

Other celebrities also call for help as they try to offer their assistance as well to Filipinos affected by the typhoon.
Miss Universe Philippines 2018 Catriona Gray offered her help through her Instagram post where she posted about the response operations of the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) as the organization’s new ambassador.
“The @philredcross has alerted all chapters, 143 volunteers, and deployed a Disaster Management Team from the National Headquarters for rescue and relief operations to Bicol 🌋, my hometown, and other affected areas,” she wrote.
Enchong Dee used his influence to spread awareness to the people via Twitter where he wrote about the need for people to evacuate early.
“Sa mga kapamilya natin na in-advise na mag evacuate as early as now, gawin na natin para sa kaligtasan natin…
Dasal at yakap satin dito sa Pilipinas,” he wrote.
He also asked help from people who can donate for the Bicolanos who suffered from the full wrath of the super typhoon Rolly.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview with Teleradyo, Angel talked about the allegations against her and her sister, Ella Colmenares, by Lt . Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr.
On October 21 through a post on the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) Facebook page, NTF-ELCAC spokesperson Parlade red-tagged several artists and TV personalities whom he claimed were part of the communist group New People’s Army (NPA).
He mentioned the names of Liza Soberano, Catriona Gray, Angel Locsin, and Ella Colmenares who is Angel’s sister.
Angel said that she wanted to go out and help the people but is afraid that they may be affected by her as someone who is red-tagged by Parlade.
“Parang itong parating na bagyo, di mo alam kung lalabas ka ngayon para tumulong. Ewan ko, baka iyong puntahan ko baka ma-red tag kami, baka madamay, Siyempre wala naman kaming ganoong resources kagaya nila para protektahan ang sarili namin,” she said.
She noted that NTF-ELCAC just wanted to ruin her reputation because they failed to take legal actions against the allegations leveled at her.
“Kung mayroon silang sapat na katibayan, bakit hindi nila kami idemanda? Tutal sigurado sila, may source sila, intent sila, bakit nagkakamali pa po sila sa ebidensya. Pero hindi e, gusto nilang sirain kami sa social media,” she said.
“Mayroon tayong tamang venue for that . . . Hindi iyong turo lang ng turo ng mga tao. Of course, sasabihin ng mga witnesses kung ano’ng gusto nilang marinig, siyempre ililigtas nila ang buhay nila, ganoon talaga iyon eh,” she added.
She thanked all the people who continued to support and believe in her. She said that she tries to be as truthful as possible and asked the people to help clear her name.
“Maraming salamat sa lahat ng hindi naniniwala. Hindi marahas na nagbibintang. Thank you so much. Wala akong masamang hangarin, hidden agenda. Nandito ako walang itinatago… Tulungan nyo na lang po ako kung kayang iclear ang pangalan namin, kami nina ate,” said Locsin.
“Again hindi ko ine-encourage na maging bayolente tayo o ioverthrow ang government. Doon lang po tayo sa totoo… Magingat po kayo kasi may darating na bagyo,” she added.
