After a few days of unfollowing on social media, Derek Ramsay confirmed the breakup with Andrea Torres through a comment to a fan on his Instagram account.
Aside from the confirmation that “the breakup happened so fast,” Derek also said that there’s no third party involved.
Derek also added, “Maybe 2 people are just not meant to be.”
He also asked for respect and promised that he will defend Andrea.
The breakup rumor came after netizens noticed that Derek had deleted all his photos with his girlfriend on his Instagram account. Andrea deleted her pictures with Derek on her Instagram as well.
People were also quick to notice that Derek is no longer following Andrea’s account on Instagram. The same with Andrea who already unfollowed Derek’s IG account.
Some netizens have expressed their sympathies to Derek’s supposed breakup with Andrea. However, other people decided to bash Derek and mocked his short-lived relationship with Andrea.

It was really true that you had-continued your real-sex after taping with Andrea on your previous series then, later you both became couple because of such… How many months it lasted again your relationship? 😂😂😂 That’s WHO YOU ARE already 👏🏻👍🏻 It was so true when there was one comment on both of your pictures with Andrea before that it won’t be forever or for long 😃😂😂😂” one netizen said.
The comment caught the attention of Derek who replied sarcastically saying, “you know me so well noh?”
The actor also expressed his dismay over the comment: “how can you be happy and laugh about all the things you are saying?” he asked.
Derek and Andrea co-starred in the GMA drama series The Better Woman that aired from July to September 2019.
A netizen mentioned that Derek dated all of his leading ladies.
“hmmm.. the new victim should be his new love team lol 😂 every girl na nila loveteam sa knya ay nagiging gf nya , Naol 😂 Derek you’re so lucky kase lalake anak mo, kng naging babae anak mo, you will feel the same feeling ng mga babaeng sinaktan mo 👍” the netizen wrote.
Derek denied the claim of the netizen and noted that Andrea was the only co-star who became his girlfriend.
“hello mam there is no truth to what you are saying!!! Andrea is the only leading lady I had that became my gf,” the actor explained.
There was also a netizen who claimed the two broke up because Derek was not into marriage.
“I think he’s not into marriage,” the netizen said.
However, Derek strongly denied the statement saying, “i think you are wrong.”
Derek admitted in September 2019 that he and Torres were “more than friends”. He was previously in a six-year relationship with Joanne Villablanca which ended in June 2019.
Derek and Andrea recently revealed on GMA’s ‘Mars Pa More, that they already have plans of tying the knot.
