TV host and ABS-CBN executive Charo Santos-Concio recently revealed that actor Piolo Pascual went through a rebellious phase in the past.
During Piolo’s guesting in Dear Charo, Santos-Concio’s online show in FYE Channel on Kumu, the ABS-CBN boss shared that Piolo once experienced a rebellious stage in his life.
“Oo, meron. Meron ‘yan na ano… Meron ‘yan na dinadaanan na mga panahon na nagrerebelde,” Charo said.
Piolo then explained that Charo has always been his confidante because she can relate to him and she would always speak sense to him that’s why he felt it was easier to vent to her.
“I was really busy. I was a work whore, so I would work more than seven days a week, literally.
“But Tita Charo would always make me realize na, ‘Hindi ito forever. Hindi ito habambuhay, so make the most out of it.’
“And I remember one time I told her, ‘Tita, hanggang kelan ba ito?’ Sabi niya, ‘Nasa sa iyo iyan.’”
“Siya kasi kausap ko noon, e. But Tita Charo would always put some sense to me.
“I guess because nakaka-relate siya sa akin. It was easier for me to vent.
“It was easier for me to share whatever I was feeling, because alam ko na naiintindihan niya ako,” Piolo narrated.
Piolo also added that he owes Charo his career.
According to Piolo, he would not be the star he is now if not for Charo that’s why he’s very grateful to the Kapamilya executive.
“If not for Tita Charo, siguro hindi ako nagbida sa mga soap. Hindi ako nagbida sa mga pelikula.
“Trivia po, si Tita Charo po ang naglaban sa akin pag may ibang artista na gusto nila. Sabi ni Tita Charo, ‘Si Piolo, si Piolo iyan,'” said Piolo
