In the long-honored tradition of GMA Network, the media giant released their Christmas Station ID for 2020.
However, with the pandemic and shift in the landscape of TV itself, the station ID included fewer celebrities than what we are used to..
Firstly, celebrities such as Jaclyn Jose, Pauleen Luna, Sunshine Dizon, Myrtle Sarrosa, and Senator Manny Pacquiao were missing from the Christmas station ID. So were Chariz Solomon of Bubble Gang, Zoren Legaspi, and Magkaagaw star Sheryl Cruz.
Mark Herras was also missing from the station ID. Herras’ manager Lolit Solis even took to Instagram to express her thoughts on the actor’s exclusion. She added life advice to her posts, urging the actor to think about his career.
GMA Network seemed to follow the safety guidelines while filming the station ID focusing on social distancing. Additionally, some celebrities had their solo shots in the said production while shows like Unang Hirit and the GMA News team practiced social distancing.
With that said, we are hoping that the Kapuso network will release additional videos and promos for their other talents that may have been unavailable during the Christmas Station ID.
