Kapamilya star Bea Alonzo has reportedly left the Star Magic family after being under the management agency for about 19 years. Although she already left Star Magic, Bea is said to remain a Kapamilya.
According to a report from Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), this was confirmed by trusted industry insiders who chose to remain anonymous.
Star Magic is ABS-CBN’s training and management subsidiary which is known to house most of the network’s biggest names and celebrities. Some of the artists under the management of Star Magic include Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla (KathNiel), Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil (LizQuen), Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber (MayWard) among others.
Bea’s contract with Star Magic ended in October 2020 and according to PEP, the actress did not renew her contract anymore. This was months after the House Committee on Legislative Franchises voted 70-11 to deny the 25-year franchise application of ABS-CBN, forcing the network to shut down.
It was reported that the actress will now be handled by the veteran talent manager Shirley Kuan. However, there is still no official statements from Bea and Star Magic regarding the said information.
Shirley Kuan is part of the Professional Artists Managers, Inc. (PAMI) which is an organization for talent managers. Some of the artists under her care are Albert Martinez, Helen Gamboa, Agot Isidro, Tetchie Agbayani, and Donna Cruz.

Other Kapamilya A-listers include John Lloyd Cruz, Piolo Pascual, KathNiel, LizQuen, Toni Gonzaga, Coco Martin, Vice Ganda, and Sarah Geronimo.
She is known for her role in the drama series I Love Betty La Fea which premiered in 2008.
