Kapamilya star and philanthropist Angel Locsin revealed the reason she never gets tired of helping and giving back to the Filipino people.
She made the revelation during her virtual interview for the 100th episode of the online show ‘We Rise Together” where the actress was interviewed by Anthony Jennings, Jeremiah Lisbo, and DJ Jhai Ho.
When Angel was asked why she never gets tired of helping the Filipino people, the actress revealed that she was just doing her part.
“I’m just doing my part.
She hoped that through her actions, other people will be inspired to do their part and help others as well.
‘Yon lang naman,” she said.
“Sabi nga nila, walang maliit o malaking tulong basta galing sa puso mo,” she added.
Aside from helping the people through her generous acts of giving donations to different organizations and charities, the actress also used her influence as an artist to help the people who lost their jobs after the shutdown of ABS-CBN through her YouTube vlog.
So doon kami nagsimula. Para magamit mo rin ang platform mo to raise awareness o makapag-give back din sa mga tao,” she said.
She added saying that she also tries to make her content creative to maintain the interest of her followers.
Previously, the 35-year-old actress made the headlines after being red-tagged by Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr. But despite her red-tagging, she continued to help the people.
She offered her help to people despite her fears by launching an online assistance initiative where she would give P1,000 cash aid to Filipinos who were badly hit by the typhoon Rolly.
She also helped the people who were affected by typhoon Ulysses which came after typhoon Rolly. Together with her actors’ group “Aktor”(League of Filipino Actors), they asked for donations for the victims in the province.
On her Instagram, she posted a photo asking those willing to help the people of Cagayan. She and her group asked for blankets, towels, clothes, vitamins, face masks, and anything that could be of help.
“Karamay ninyo po kami, sa anumang oras. Sa suporta’t pagmamahal na ibinigay ninyo po sa amin, hindi po namin kayo pababayaan,” Locsin wrote on her IG.
